You Only Live Once

One of my favorite bands are The Strokes. I love how their music is straight forward and to the point. They are not the cleanest sounding act in the world and that is what I like about them.
When I was in Japan a couple of weeks ago, I often sang Strokes songs at karaoke. Karaoke in Japan is a lot better than it is North America for a number of reasons, but I will get in to that in a future post, so stay tuned!
One of my favorite songs by the Strokes is, “You Only Live Once” I love some of the lyrics in the song and when faced with a new challenge or something new I always try to remember this! Most of the lyrics in this song are also quite good and my favorite are:
“Oh men don’t notice what they got
Women think of that alot
1000 ways to please your man, o ohhhh!
not even one requires a plan, I know!”
I’m not a huge fan of this particular video and so I’ve also included their Saturday Night Live performance of the same song first… Anywho, the song rocks! Ladies and Gentlemen, give it up for The Strokes!
