My Japanese Family - Part Two
May 18th, 2007 by Mike
Last year, I rented a room from a Japanese family for about 3 months. In fact I wrote a post about them which you can find here. The Nakahara’s were very kind and were the best roommates I ever had. I would have stayed with them for a much longer time but I was fortunate enough to get my own place and so I moved out. I really had a good time with them and if you are ever looking for a place to stay then I’d suggest you contact them. Actually I’d suggest that you contact me first as I am always looking for roommates too!
Anywho, Michiko and Hina called me the other day and we made arrangements for them to come over. They also brought along one of their roommates and it was nice to make a new friend.
Hina is now 21 months old and its been a few months since I last saw her. She has definitely grown and is speaking now, although she still is pretty quiet. Sadly, when I went to pick her up, she started crying. I guess she doesn’t remember me, or then again maybe she does! (that last bit is a joke.)
Tomo had to work today, so he couldn’t come over but I’m hoping that he will have a bbq one of these days and that I’ll be invited. Until that day comes, I’ll just have to wait.
Here is a picture of the three of us! As you can see I’ve scared Hina, again…
