Cable, My New Best Friend!

May 23rd, 2007 by Mike

Its been a week since I took advantage of my cable company’s latest promotion. Basically, they hook you up to “full cable” for one month for free. Then, for the following 6 months you only pay about $20/month which works out to about 60% off the regular rate. After that, it shoots up to around $50 a month.

A week has now passed and I’ve realized something. Cable is my best friend! There are so many channels and its just so easy to sit down, turn on, and say goodbye to your night! I kind of feel bad for watching so much of it but at the same time we haven’t had the best weather in Calgary.

Intially I kind of thought that I would cancel cable after the free month, however now Im thinking that $20/month doesnt sound too bad… We will see what happens, but I don’t think I could ever pay $60/month for it, but mmmmm see how I feel in six months!

I heard my net buddy for life might be getting a new computer soon. Which will be the lesser of two evils I wonder, the internet or cable?
