My New Computer

Recently, I bought a computer from Dell. I’ve used computers almost all of my life but I never bought one until now. There are a few reasons for this such as I never had the money and my family always had one that I could use. However, now Im all grown up, (at least physically) and so I figure it is time to get one of my own. Well, that and the fact that the old computer my Dad gave me doesn’t work anymore.

One thing I had to decide on was whether to get a machine that had Vista or XP. Almost all of the geeks I know told me that Vista sucked. They said that while XP isn’t the greatest, its at least more stable. However, my net buddy 4 life, Nick Ramsay, AKA Spud Oregon, loves Vista and highly recommended that I get it. Since I cannot deny my net buddy 4 life I ordered Vista and I guess we will see in the next few weeks how I’ll like it.

I haven’t received my new system yet but the other thing I am excited for is the monitor. I ordered a 20 inch widescreen monitor and thats pretty big. Actually I wanted to get a 22 inch monitor but Dell had them on backorder and that would have delayed my shipment date, so I went with the 20 inch. The sad thing now is that I think I’m going to regret getting the smaller monitor. I mean, as Spud puts it, “every man would like a couple of extra inches, but we learn to live with what we’ve got.” Ahh that might be true Spud but Im considering ordering the 22 inch and then returning the smaller one. After all, every man wants to have the biggest!!!
