About a year ago I purchased my condo. When I moved in, the place was quite dirty and run down. The carpet had holes in it, the white plastic light switches had turned yellow over time, and the windows had dirt in between the panes of glass. I had always rented furnished rooms from others and so I hardly needed insurance at the time. However, soon after moving in, I bought furniture, flooring, and generally spruced the place up. This was when I decided it was time to get some insurance. I mena if something were to ever happen to my place, (i.e. fire) I’d have some serious financial issues!
I called around to a number of different providers and asked for quotes and received a wide range of prices. One of the things I learned was that when you call around to different insurance providers you really have to give them a lot of information if you want to save a few bucks.
When insurance companies give you a quote they often look at a number of different factors such as your education, claims history, credit history. Their quotation also takes into account the amount of your deductible and of course the amount of insurance needed.
I think its best to call around for a few quotes with a few different companies. Here’s a link to home insurance and here’s a link for life insurance and while your’e at it, go get some car insurance!
