It’s important to use your money wisely and diversify your portfolio when investing. At the same time it’s also important to protect your assets by being properly insured. You could be the richest person in the world but if you don’t have proper insurance you might be forced to kiss your fortune goodbye! Especially if you live in lawsuit crazy America! How many times have you heard of people getting sued for honest mistakes they may have made? No matter how good you are, no one is perfect and one bad day could ruin you financially.
One of my friends once rented a car and since he considered himself to be a good driver,(which he was) didn’t get the additional insurance offered by the rental company. Unfortunately he accidentally backed into a pole which left a small mark on the bumper. While it was a complete accident and a small scratch, he was responsible for it. $600 later, he wished he would have purchased the supplemental $25 insurance offered by the agency which would have covered him.
If you have any kind of property, I’d recommend that you get proper insurance! You should shop around for rates. There are many different types of insurance such as car insurance, life insurance, and for the love of God please don’t forget home insurance!
