U of C Dino’s vs. U of S Huskies Part 1
October 21st, 2007 by Mike
On Friday night I went to a men’s hockey game between the University of Calgary Dinosaurs and the University of Saskatchewan’s Huskies. It was a really close game and actually went in to overtime to determine the winner.
Going in to that game the U of C Dinos had only won, one regular season game. The Dino’s battled hard, and although Saskatchewan lead the game in goals the Dino’s came back to tie it with only a few minutes left in the final period to force the overtime. Unfortunately, the Dino’s got scored on in overtime period, ending the game. The final score was 4-3.
I felt so bad for the Dino’s cause it feels terrible getting beat in overtime, especially when you’ve been trailing for the whole game and have come back from a scoring deficit to force an overtime with only minutes left. To add further insult to injury, the Dino’s were beaten on their home ice and that never feels good.
If you liked this post, stay tuned to michaelmckinlay.com as I will be posting coverage of the second game in the series soon.
