I Hate The Banjo!
October 27th, 2007 by Mike
I take the train and when I return home there is always this guy singing and playing the banjo in the station. I find it quite annoying cause he is there every weekday. Every song he plays sounds the same and the banjo is just plain annoying. Furthermore, the station is almost like a cave and the sound just bounces off the walls, amplifying it which makes it worse.
Everyday, literally thousands of people are forced to pass by him as there is no other exit out of the station. What really surprises me is that some people actually give him money. Maybe it’s cause he’s like so bad, he’s good.

I wonder if he’ll ever read this article cause when I took his picture, I informed him of my site address and that I’d be putting his picture up. He probably won’t like what I have to say but it’s a free country and he is playing in a public place. If he does read this then I suppose he’ll either leave a comment at the bottom of this page or he will say something to me when I see him at the station again. Whatever happens I will post it on my blog so stay tuned!

There’s no such thing as bad publicity, and this guy just got a featured article on MichaelMcKinlay.com for free! He should be over the moon. Now, I want to see him play, or at least… try to play.
Yeah I saw that guy today, and he didn’t say anything to me.. He will probably never check this page out… Oh well if he does, he can think of it as publicity! Maybe you should break out your sax and you two can duet at the station! That would be awesome!
At least he is doing something to earn a little money. I always like a little music to pass the time while waiting for the train
