Finally… Japanese Cigarettes with Less Stink!

November 11th, 2007 by Mike

OMG! Less Stinky, Putrid Cigarettes! What Will They Think of Next?

One of the things I love about Japan is that you don’t have to look very hard to find funny English. It’s all over the place and if you want more of the above than check out a site like Engrish.com

This photo is of my friend’s cigarettes, as you can see it says “Less Smell.” I just happened to be riding the train with her when I noticed her cigarettes. Upon taking a closer look I noticed the English written on them. To her, it didn’t sound funny, in fact most Japanese probably don’t notice the English around them. English in Japan is written more for the “look” as opposed to anything else. Kind of like when Non-Japanese tattoo themselves with Japanese or Chinese characters. So be careful that next time you get a Japanese or Chinese tattoo!
