Current Lake Louise Snow Report
November 19th, 2007 by Mike
This past weekend I went snowboarding at Lake Louise in Alberta, Canada. I’ve been to Louise many times and so I know the place fairly well. I guess it’s still early in the season and so they only had one run and the Glacier Express chair lift in operation which only goes about 2/3rd’s up the mountain. They haven’t opened up the rest of the mountain because it’s it’s still rocky and icy at the top.
It was too bad that only one run was open but I must say that the quality of the snow this weekend was pretty decent. I’ve been to Louise before and boarded in worse conditions and it’s no fun boarding over top of ice and rocks. I suppose the advantage to only having the one run open was that they could focus more of their snowmaking equipment on that area. Maybe they’ll open the rest of the mountain soon.

The snow looked great son and I wish I was there!!! When you are in Japan next,
we will have to check out not only the slopes, but also surfing too. We could possibly do it
in Late april because the mountains are still open!!
Surfing and snowboarding in the same week with my son would be just so cool!!!!
We can be true Surfy Doods!!!!
