I’ve not added a new post to my blog in the last couple of days but I’ve got a perfectly good reason for this… I was snowboarding! Yes, this weekend I joined the University of Calgary’s Ski Club Trip to Lake Louise. Apologies to all 18 of you who subscribe to my RSS feed. Actually the number is probably less than that as of my supposed “readers” are probably just bots and not actual people.

Anyway, in a move that I’m probably going to regret(for various reasons) I’ve decided to put up a video that is pretty embarassing. It’s of me snowboarding at Lake Louise in Canada. Actually this video was shot earlier today and it features my new “trick,” 360 degree turns! I’ve been snowboarding for a few years now and while I don’t consider myself a beginner, this video clearly disputes that!

The following video is dedicated to my closest friend Keith, who I’ve nicknamed “Daddy.” I know it sounds strange to call someone other than your Father “Daddy” but… Actually, part of the reason I call him that is based on the movie “Freddy Got Fingered.” “Freddy” is our favorite movie Keith and I’s friendship is based on the principles of that movie. I am kind of like Tom Green’s character “Gord,” and Keith is most similiar to Rip Torn’s part, “Daddy.”

Like I said, I’m not a very good snowboarder but this video features my latest trick! This trick simply involves me going down the mountain slowly while rotating 360 degrees numerous times. You will also notice that I use the term, “Surfie Dude.” “Surfie Dude” comes from my best friend Keith, who recently bought a house in Japan near the beach. Keith loves surfing and now that he has this place he can spend more time concentrating on being a “Surfie Dude.” I live over a 1000 km from the ocean and so for me to be a “Surfie Dude” my only choice is to “surf” the snow. Keith once told me that we are both “Surfie Dudes,” the only difference being that he surfs the blue stuff and I surf the white stuff. Anyway here’s the vid, hopefully you’ll get a laugh out of it and not feel like asking me for the last 23 seconds of your life back!
