Moving to Japan

November 30th, 2007 by Mike

Moving hasn’t really been a fun experience for me. I’ve moved about 9 different times in my life and while moving to a new place can be an exciting experience, moving all of your belongings isn’t! For help with moving check out homebulletin.net

The first time I moved to Japan I brought a couple of suitcases with me. Once I arrived at Tokyo Narita airport I went over to the luggage carousel to claim my baggage. The only problem was that my suitcase never came… After all of the bags came out I walked over to security to see if they knew where my bag was… Sure enough they were just wheeling it out. To my surprise my case had busted open and could not be closed again. The security guard was trying to keep all of the contents together as he rolled it over to me but I was almost sure I lost something. I don’t know how but I don’t think that happened, if it did, I never noticed. Anyway I’m just glad that I didn’t lose anything important on that day but it wasn’t really how I was hoping to start off my stay in Japan!

I once arrived in Japan without my suitcase. It was left in Rome. I was given 30 dollars compensation and I had to wait four days for my suitcase to be delivered. I used the money to buy some (sexy) underwear.
