In a tribute to my Net Buddy 4 Life, ok maybe just a rip off his article Ramsay Ramblings 12/6/2007 I’ve come up with my own McKinlay Ramblings!
My Voice Sounds Like a Robot
I’ve been using Skype for a couple of years but recently the quality of service has gone down. I often call my Net Buddy as well as my other great friend Keith in Japan and while their voices have sounded fine to me, they are having trouble hearing me. In fact my voice has become quite distorted and they say I sound like a robot. I’ve tried downloading the latest version of Skype but I keep running in to the same problem. Hopefully it will correct itself soon and I’ll be able to have crystal clear conversations again.
Trip to Arizona
It looks like I’ll be going to Arizona during the Christmas break. My parents have a small place there and since my Dad can’t get time off work I’ll be driving my Mom down there. It’s about 3000 km one way and it should take about 3 days and 2 nights. I don’t know where we will stop for the first night but hopefully by the second we’ll be in Vegas. I won’t have a lot of time to spend in Arizona since I’ll have to be back for work in the New Year. All of that driving will be be tiring but I’m thinking that a 6000 km road trip should give me plenty of blogging material.

My pagerank is still a big fat 0 but oh well… In the New Year I am thinking of taking MichaelMcKinlay.com in a new direction. Don’t really know how it’s going to turn out but it certainly won’t involve any paid posts! From January 2008 on MichaelMcKinlay.com will be in the rebuilding process. It will be kind of like turning over a new leaf and we will see if I can my old page rank back, who knows maybe I’ll do even better!

6000 K’s is a lot mate so take your time and enjoy the drive time!!
Stop and relax at least every two to three hours, take good music
and get plenty of rest!! (I sound like your Daddy)
I do look forward to seeing the “New Direction” you have in mind for
next year Mike. I think what you have done uptil now is a real credit
to you and the sky is the limit!!
I know how many times you have told me about all the help Nick has
given you but still, you did the work and this site has been a great
experience for you has it not!!
I really do hope you get your ranking back and with a little more study
and a little more perserverance, I do know you have this site rocking
and rolling!!

Mike, you will get your PageRank back once your blog is Google friendly, that’s almost a certainty, so don’t worry about it.
Keith’s right. 6,000 kms is huge. I hope your mum gives you a foot massage every time you stop for a break!
