Close to a year ago I wrote a post on the “Backwards Man” from the classic movie, “Freddy Got Fingered.” While the content of the actual post was serious, the video I included from the movie was not! You can check out the post here, or you can simply just view the video below.
Tonight I went to karaoke with a couple of friends, and this is where I met up with a couple of their friends. One of their friends was a girl who had the most interesting sweater that I’ve ever seen. To be honest, I didn’t even notice her sweater until after an hour or two singing karaoke, but when I did, I just knew she and her sweater were destined for a date on MichaelMcKinlay.com!
So without further adieu… Ladies and gentlemen, I now give you the Japanese Backwards Woman!

No… that’s the actual style of the sweater… That’s why I took both front and back pictures, but I guess it is hard to see. Buttons on the front, and buttons on the back! She’s the “Backwards Woman!”
Intersting … I thought I had been to every clothing store between Ichinomiya and Gifu with my wife, but apparently there’s one that I missed, and that one is selling these sweaters
If I happen to see one in Nagoya, I think I’ll pick it up for Reiko
Haha, yeah this could 2008’s newest fashion trend.
I’ve said it before and I will say it again, this just proves that Freddy Got Fingered was a movie way ahead of it’s time!
Actually when Siskel & Ebert reviewed it, I think they said something like this is possibly the dumbest movie ever made or it’s so ahead of it’s time that we just can’t understand it yet!
Now, I understood why you took pictures of my sweater.

Yes, you must be a very creative person because the Backwards Man is so creative!!! If I see you again, please let me take some photos of your creative clothes!
You should also make a song like the Backwards Man.. You can sing, “I’m the Backwards sister, I’m the Backwards sister, I can do things as fast as my brother can, I can do things as fast as my brother can.. I’m the Backwards sister, I’m the Backwards sister”
