To be honest I don't really see a huge difference in picture quality. I think all of this business about HDTV is a load of crap. In fact I'm probably going to blog about it. I think it's all just a plan by manufacturers to get us to buy new tvs, and man I think it's working. Almost everyone has a flat screen now, except yours truly! I agree with you Nick and aside from my daily 30 minute show of "Coronation Street" I hardly ever watch tv anymore. I cut my cable last month and have been busy enough without it! It's had a lot of usage but is starting to show signs of aging now (flickering). At least the next one I get will be much cheaper, though in all honesty, I'd rather chuck it out and live without a TV all together. There aren't any "must-see" shows anymore, anyway! I actually saw a 32 in. Tv the other day for only 80,000 yen and it was a Toshiba which is considered a good brand. I say this because it is amazing how cheap Flat-screens have become and do remember Nick buying I think the same size for around 500,000 yen a few years back. Saying that, I did buy a very small 17 in. for about 240,000 yen about 8 years ago and now you can buy the same thing for about 30,000 yen aaaaaaaaaaah I'm so stupid!!!!
