Here's your proof. In this ancient Japanese picture, a teacher of the "oshibori" art is enraged by his student's lack of common knowledge. He has grabbed him by the collar and is about to give him a good whipping with his tool of the trade - an oshibori. ;)

I'm glad you liked my review Nick and I was happy to do it. Perhaps Keith can use OshiboriArt to find out why people have been asking these ancient questions.

Haven't learned the Godzilla one but I am looking forward to getting started on the "willy" one.

Keith, you can't bury this post. What do you think this is, JapanSoc?

Besides, Mike is absolutely right. People have been asking about oshibori art for centuries. Okay? Got it? It's a fact. Period.

Mike, thank you for your kind article about Japanese-style towel origami. What I like most about it is the simplicity. Although it's fun for adults when they are out in a restaurant, it's also really easy for kids to pick up, and it keeps them busy for hours. I recommend every ESL teacher learn to make a couple of the animals and impress the children in their class.

So, have you mastered any of them yet, Mike? How about the Godzilla one?
