Adopting Greyhounds from Florida

A couple of months ago, one of my co-workers adopted a couple of Greyhounds from Florida. These Greyhounds were bred to race, but the sad thing is that when these dogs start losing races the track doesn’t need them anymore and from there I imagine that their future doesn’t look too good. Sad….. 
But no, wait! There is hope because you can help these poor babies, yes it’s true, you can adopt them! All you have to do is Google “Greyhounds for adoption” and I’m sure that you’ll find a number of sites that will help these awesome dogs find wonderful and loving homes!
I know that when my co-worker adopted hers she had to fulfill some requirements. For example, she had to have a fence high enough, and most importantly she had to be a cool person, which she is!
Her husband came to pick her up from work the other day and just happened to bring the dogs along. I got to meet them and they were so cool. They were really friendly and you could tell that they loved all of the attention they were getting from my other co-workers.
I’ve thought about adopting a Greyhound myself but as a single person I don’t think I’d have enough time to take care of it… Well there’s that and I also don’t meet the coolness requirement.

Oh, come on Mike! You’re not just cool, you’re uber-cool! Still, I think I’d rather buy a goat or support an alpaca farmer than adopt a greyhound in Canada.

I did prefer monkeys but mmmm I might consider greyhounds now because Momo-chan needs a dog that is fast enough to run away from her when she bites them.

PS Momo-chan’s idea of making friends is to bite every dog she sees. She thinks she is being playful haa haa haa!!!

I’ve heard greyhounds are super smart, too.

I know it could be confusing but no Momo-chan is my dog! My mother-in-law has not bitten me yet!!!! (That is how i can tell the difference!!)
Heather, the comment to Mike about being cool enough is not right!! He is cool enough for Goats, pigs or donkeys but mmm C’mon he has to work up to Greyhounds!!

PS. If my wife saw the above comment, aaaaaah it would be very uncool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Actually my mohter-in-law is a kinda cool but the father-in-law mmmm whole nother story there!!!!
