Peace Be With My Net Buddy 4 Life… In Japan!
April 13th, 2008 by Mike

Nick is one of my best friends and even though he lives in Japan and I live in Canada we often keep in contact. According to Google Earth, we are separated by about 8,200 km. At least that’s according to the map above. That kind of distance crosses 15 time zones and so when Nick is getting ready to go to bed, I am just getting up to go to work!
The internet never ceases to amaze me and while there is nothing like hanging out in “real life” chatting over the net is pretty cool. Nick and I use Skype to keep in contact. Skype is great because it’s free and it gives us the added capability of video.
While I’m in Japan I am going to be staying over at Nick’s for a couple of nights. I’ll finally get to meet Nick’s son Rikuto and maybe we’ll even go for a walk together. Nick is also going to teach me a few things about the net and help me improve my blog and my other site OmoshiroiEigo. We will be giving my blog a makeover and who knows what kind of tom-foolery or shenanigans we’ll get up to. Stay tuned to find out!

Hey Net Buddy! Great pictures! See you next week!
Yes I’m sure Nicky-Poo will teach you a thing or two Mike and he often understates his abilities. That goes to show what type of person he is and if anyone wants to learn or need to know something about Kids ESL, check out his website : ESL-Kids.com
He also has a maths wizard site which too is fantastic!!
Mike when you get back to Canada, while you will not quite be at Nick’s level, I’m sure the time spent with him will help you out greatly!!
Keith
PS. This is not a plug for Nick’s sites because I really do think what I wrote and have not seen a better site for ESL resources. Check them out guys!!!
Thanks for the kind words, Keith! The math site is Math Worksheet Wizard, and I’m working hard to build it up so it covers the whole elementary school math curriculum.
Yes, Nick’s sites are amazing and I’m not saying that just because he’s my net buddy 4 life! He’s the best and I’m really glad I’m getting the chance to work with him!
yes, Michael is looking forward to going to Japan to spend time with two of his best buds. He is very impressed with Nick’s computer skills so hopefully he can learn something from him. And of course Keith can do no wrong and I am very glad that he has these two fellas for friends. Also he has many great Japanese friends so I am sure he will have a great holiday. Just hope he wants to return to Canada.
I probably won’t want to come back, but will have to! Just think of all the moaning about how great Japan is that you are going to get to listen to upon my return!
