Japan Road Trip To Mount Fuji And Shizuoka

I’ve been to a lot of places in Japan but last year I took a trip that was different from the many I have taken. Why different? Well for starters I think I took some of the best landscape photos that I’ve ever taken, anywhere! These photos were all taken in Shizuoka prefecture which isn’t that far from Tokyo. The above photo is of the world famous Mount Fuji. If you ever get the chance to drive to the Izu peninsula you might just get to see sights like these:

When you travel by highway in Japan, you have to pay a toll! The further you go, the more expensive it gets. Needless to say you don’t really want to get off the highway as exiting and re-entering will make your trip more expensive. So every so often there are rest stops located along side the highway for you to get something to eat and give you a break. If you don’t know what’s inside the buildings at these stops then go in and maybe you will see a sign from above…

I’ve blacked out my friends faces since I’m too lazy to ask for their permission to have their photos up on my site.

We all stayed in a resort hotel when we got to our destination. The hotel was nice and it was kind of different because dinner was included with the room and so were the robes! The dinner was in a large banquet hall and most people wore their hotel robes to the dinner. Here we are on our way to having some din-din! I know that it looks like I’m with a 8 year old but she’s actually older than I am! Honest Officer, I swear!

Here’s a couple shots of the sunset:

Nice pics. You should totally make a version of ‘Road Trip,’ but
in Japan. Like ‘EuroTrip.’ Call it ‘JapanTrippin’ or something like
that. But, remember, it’s my idea. I get royalties, dammit.

    • Mike says

That’s a great idea Billy, except for the royalties bit! So yeah I’ll just change that to “Japan Tri”p and then I won’t have to pay you anything! :)

They were 3 cute girls Mike!!!

    • Mike says

Oh yes they were! In fact, I referred to them as ‘fine ladies’ on JapanSoc.com and come to think of it I referred to ourselves as ‘Jive Turkeys’

Scenery was lovely. You could use those for your pictures. How tall was that girl that looks to be 8 years old. How tiny can anyone be?

    I don`t know… she`s probably lessthan 5 feet… She`s Aimi`s friend so maybe I`ll see her again….

    seriously, come on.
think you’re a hotshot or something????

    • Mike says

      I can say poser!

Yes, I think I’m a hotshot, and I would have thought that was obvious with the first picture of me with a mouthful of ice cream, flashing the peace sign.
