Shh… Don’t Wake the Babies!

April 23rd, 2008 by Nick

Mike is staying at my house in Japan for a couple of days, and it seems the first few days of his trip have exhausted him. Here he is at around 9pm, snoring loudly on my sofa, while my 9-month old son, sleeps peacefully on the floor beside him.

Mike and Rikuto fast asleep

My wife and I had to wake him up and send him to his room, so that we could have somewhere to sit for the rest of the evening! Seriously, the guy is huge! He’s a man monster. He makes my sofa look like an armchair!

A few changes to Mike’s blog

Before Mike went to la-la land, I spent the afternoon working with him on his blog. We upgraded it to Wordpress 2.5, and there’s a comical new banner at the top with some pictures of his trip so far. Mike has only been here for three days, and he’s already collected over 800MBs of photos and video. If you think his tales of Arizona went on for a long time (three months!), you ain’t seen nothin’ yet!

Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mike for the delicious “Golden Buds” chocolates he brought us from Canada. Thanks Net Buddy, you know my weakness!

You know Mike must be tired when he falls a sleep in a restaurant the night before with beautiful women all around him. Saying that, he did perk up at Karaoke.
Nick please check the lines around his face and tell me if you think he is looking older? He seems stressed out by this and it does look like “Father-time” is creeping up on him!!
He was so excited to go over to your place yesterday to see his “Guru” and I think with all the excitement he has had over the last couple of days, it really has taken it’s toll.
Please everyone who reads this, wish Mike all the best and please tell him to fight on as he continues his travels through Japan.
He needs our love and support as he goes through the trying times ahead off meeting so many people and singing almost every night at Karaoke.
I know you can do it Mike and my heart is with you!!!

I’m so glad that I have your love and support Keith. Thanks for your comments on my aging and you will be happy to know that, that was the first comment Nick made to me when he saw me at the train station.

Isn’t the baby’s head precariously close to the man’s knee?

I’m just saying…

Don’t worry guys, no babies were harmed in the making of this posting. Thanks for your concern though.
