The other day my net buddy 4 life, Nick Ramsay wrote about how he got screwed when his wife bought him a “Giant” ice cream. After I took a sedative to relieve my laughing I thought of the cheapest place to eat in Calgary and came up with this little number…
One of my favorite stores is IKEA and pretty much everything I have in terms of furniture is from the place! I don’t go there as much these days since there really isn’t anything I need but every once in a while I don’t mind stopping by. Even if I don’t buy any furniture, it’s not a wasted trip as I can pick up some cheap eats in their restaurant.
The cheapest thing they have are the 50 cent hot dogs! Sure they may not be that fancy but at that price who cares! They also have a lot of other things on the menu at a good price but you really can’t beat them wieners! (mmm I might have to be more careful with my wording, that could have been messy, sailor!)
Another thing to check out is the $1.00 breakfast. Offered till 11 a.m. it makes it worth it to get up early. If I remember correctly you’ll get a couple of sausages(love them sausages), scrambled eggs, toast, and hashbrowns! The portions aren’t too bad but I usually get 2, maybe 3 if I’m really hungry. Hey man, it’s only $2 or $3! Oh yeah and the $1 frozen yogurt is also nice. Come to think of it IKEA is the perfect place to have a date, just don’t let her see the price fellas!

My name is Michael McKinlay and I live in Calgary, Alberta Canada. Although I was born here, I have lived in a few other places in Western Canada such as, Saskatoon, Regina, Medicine Hat, and Edmonton. I also spent time in Hong Kong and Japan. [
Hmmm…hot dogs!
Haha glad to see you know how to show a girl a memorable date haha. Where was ikea when we were in high school? Could have practically lived off hotdogs at the price. haha
Yeah tell me about it! They keep saying Regina is going to get one in the old superstore but I think that building is still vacant!
