Starting A New Workout Plan

U of C Fitness Centre

A couple of weeks ago I decided to get myself a fitness appraisal, and have a personal trainer design a workout for me. It wasn’t cheap to schedule these sessions, but since I am taking a class part-time at the University, I only had to pay the “student rate.”

My trainer designed a basic plan for me to follow based on my current strengths, and oh so many weaknesses. He showed me the proper way to do the exercises and gave me some other tips and advice. The plan he came up with suggested that I workout 3-4 days a week for about an hour each time.

Yesterday I had my first workout. First of all, I’m just happy that I actually went in and did it. It’s always hard to start a new plan and stay motivated. I am sure that in the coming months this will be my number one challenge. On the other hand, I know that if you do something consistently for 30 days, it will become a regular part of your routine and so this is my goal. It won’t be easy, but if I can stay consistent I should look and feel stronger by next summer. Perfect for my next surfing trip to Japan!

the first 3 months are the hardest Mike and it has to become habit for you to go to the gym. Stay with it and suck it up as I know you will be a hard lean fighting machine in a year or so!!!!
